Cafe Nevill
The Nevill Arms pub is one of the oldest pubs in Leicestershire so is held dearly to lots of locals hearts.
The café is a more recent addition at the back of the pub to give an alternative option for lighter lunches and breakfast.
Owned by The Three Goats Group, this newly formed pub group now owns 3 popular destination pubs in Leicestershire including The Sun in Great Easton and The Red Lion in Great Bowden. All three hold their individual identities but all have the same intention to bring people together over good food and good service.
The café interior is a light conservatory with a simple décor, keeping a light fresh feel. This matches the stunning courtyard which is again kept simple, with white washed walls, lots of green plants and a big olive tree as the focal point.
The venue has a very relaxed atmosphere with a vibrant buzz of energy thanks to our young and enthusiastic team. Especially on weekends!
A warm welcome is always awaiting you at Café Nevill and we will always do our best to accommodate you and your guests. We have a passionate team that will make suggestions for you if required. After all, they are well practiced at sampling our menu! I think we could all add professional cake tasters to our CV.
Jamie Allsopp is our Head Chef and is a keen hand in the kitchen having started chef life at Scott’s in Mayfair and then moving back home to work with some friendly faces at the Red Lion and Bowden Stores. He loves cooking up new ideas and is keen to share his knowledge, especially with his 4 year old daughter Primrose, whom he shares an Instagram cooking account.
Our menu has remained the same since opening in August but as winter approaches we will transition to a winter warming menu to enjoy in our cosy corner.
One of our signature breakfast dishes is the Loaded Crumpet. A fried egg, avocado, halloumi and roasted tomato sits on top of a toasted crumpet, finished with a kick of siracha.
All our tea, coffee and hot chocolate are supplied from our local supplier St Martins Coffee Roastery and is a highly complemented feature of Café Nevill. If a cold drink is what you fancy, we also make delicious thick milkshakes, with flavours such as Biscoff or Oreo. A unique feature of our café is also being able to order alcohol from the bar at lunchtimes, making early dinners with the children that bit more bearable!
A hotspot for cyclists, our café is always open to everyone. We cater for children and have a wide menu that is vegetarian, vegan and gluten free friendly. It is the ideal meeting spot for any group to gossips over wine or business coffee meetings.
