Purdey
This season sees Purdey play to its strengths, championing the long-held British tradition of escaping into the great outdoors. To this end, the Autumn Winter 2021 collection is a celebration of the unique style of the shooting season and other outdoor pursuits, made-up of clothes that are designed to take on the elements in fine fashion.
Autumn/Winter 2021 Collection
This season Purdey has created a unique combination of luxury timeless pieces designed to be worn for a country weekend or about town with trans seasonal layered staples to create the perfect Purdey look.” says the brand’s Retail & Merchandise Director, Jason Broderick. Few fabrics are more synonymous with country pursuits than tweed, and Purdey’s tweeds are both modern and traditional. The brand’s signature Beesley field jackets, shooting vests and breeks are available in exclusive ‘house’ tweeds with considered design features like turn-down jacket collars, sustainable alcantara trims, action backs and invisible Sympatex membranes – a 100 per cent waterproof and windproof material that insulates the wearer from the elements. All Purdey’s tweeds are woven at a small, independently owned woollen mill in the Scottish borders, to specifications that are exclusive to the house. Shooting aside, other designs in the collection have more of a lifestyle focus. Menswear features a number of versatile gilets inspired by traditional shooting vests, which can transition easily between the town and country.
